The California Department of Real Estate provides services to consumers, licensed salespersons, and brokers in many aspects of real estate law, from consumer alerts, complaints, and loan modifications to subdivisions and homeowner associations.
The Contractors State License Board regulates California's construction industry by testing and licensing over 300,000 contractors in the state, educating consumers about contractors and construction laws, and investigating complaints against licensed and unlicensed contractors.
